I did a little experiment today. I reamped the new Ola's song with a single sm57 aiming the junction...tipycal edgy sound I don't like (but it could be this cab that enphatize the problem).
So I tried an eq on my guitar bus and I get a decent sound, at least closer to what I like. I boosted pretty hard the mids (1KHz +7dB, 4khz +4dB) and the sound become very organic but no more edgy and thin.
It's very weird I have to boost the mids like that because I use a 6505+ and as you know, it's a pretty mids heavy amp and on this reamp I set the mids at 6.
It's an example:

The tone is far from awesome, but it gives the idea of what I mean. The no_eq sample is edgy and "dry" in some kind of way, when the eq sample is probably too much mid heavy but it's no more sterile. Anyway I don't like to boost like this my tracks because I prefer to get the tone from the source so...I think I need a mid heavy mic
at least I can get the tone I like without put mids at 15 on my 6505
