I always get sad when ProgPower comes to an end, so I like to have a show to go to soon to help me heal.

Anybody got some to mention?

My healer is Nevermore........October 9th in Houston!

Thankfully there are a LOT of "healers" coming up, here are my healers for the next two months (if I'm only supposed to only pick one, then I guess the Nightingale/Seventh Wonder/Battle Beast show I'm looking forward to most):

27.9 Monday - Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema @ Tavastia, Helsinki
1.10 Friday - Metalheim Festival: Pain Of Salvation, Kiuas, Deathchain, Profane Omen, Enochian Crescent, Evemaster @ Nosturi, Helsinki
8.10 Friday - Circle II Circle, Primal Fear @ Dante's Highlight, Helsinki

Sept 29 - Accept + King's X
Sept 30 - Doro
October 18 - Bad Religion
October 29 - Devin Townsend

I'm glad to take a 3 week breather between shows right after ProgPower. I expect to spend a full two weeks digesting the CDs I bought this weekend (I'm pacing myself - two listens a day.)

I also missed a Katatonia + Swallow the Sun + Orphaned Land tour stop on Saturday of the weekend, I'm curious how that one went.

I'll be going to see Rush next Saturday at Jiffy Lube Live, so not much time for another show. Wow, three weekends in a row going to concerts... (Oh, and I'm going to see They Might Be Giants first weekend in October, so 4 out of 5 Saturdays)

...since we all know you have it.

We'll be doing a short-notice show this Friday, the 17th, at Jaxx with our mayhemic friends Cab Ride Home and A Sound of Thunder. Get there about 9PM to see all three of us - and, it's only $5! How's that for quality cheap entertainment?

I'm broke as a joke after ProgPower. I likely won't see a show till Nachtmystium comes to KC at the end of the month. And that's a pretty cheap show. I really wish I could see some of the more elite tours coming through the States, but it doesn't look to be in the cards.

Katatonia/Orphaned Land, Nevermore, Overkill/Forbidden, Nile/Keep of Kalessin, Suffocation/Decrepit Birth, Blind Guardian......:( Too many I won't see...

Upcoming shows at Jaxx that I'm considering attending:

Sep. 17 - Division
Oct. 2 - Doro
Oct. 15 - Nevermore
Oct. 26 - Devin Townsend Project
Nov. 4 - Divsion
Nov 5. - FIREWIND (I will be there!)
Nov. 16 - Epica (with Scar Symmetry and Blackguard)
Dec. 22 - Blind Guardian (with Seven Kingdoms)

Looks like a great fall to help tide me over until next year!

In addition, I'll be seeing TSO on Nov. 19th and RUSH this Saturday (Sep. 18)

If I weren't attending RUSH on Saturday at the Quickie Lube (Jiffy Lube Live), I'd seriously take you up on the offer. But even driving up there from Fredrednecksburg is a pain in the ass. I do need to see Division though! I really do! Especially now that I have Control Issues! :kickass:

Well for me it isn't so much needing Progpower recovery as much as Progpower replacement.

09/17 - Katatonia, Orphaned Land, Swallow the Sun, November's Doom
09/21 - Roger Waters (The most anticipated show of the year for me)
10/09 - Accept, King's X
10/16 - Triptykon, 1349
10/29 OR 10/30 - Nevermore (Completely depends on if and what job I have at the moment, considering the Chicago show is on a Friday and the Milwaukee show is on a Saturday)
11/07 - Devin Townsend
11/14 - Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved (Thinking about it due to Enslaved)
11/29 - Blind Guardian (I'm gonna try my damnest to make this)

I also missed a Katatonia + Swallow the Sun + Orphaned Land tour stop on Saturday of the weekend, I'm curious how that one went.

I saw this tour the Wednesday before ProgPower in Baltimore. It was very good!! I personally am not a fan of the vocals of Swallow the Sun & they were super serious looking on stage, but Orphaned Land was awesome as usual, and it was my first time seeing Katatonia. They put on a very mellow show, but still enjoyable. I will be writing up a more in depth review with photos on www.usaprogmusic.com

9/20 - Alice in Chains/Deftones/Mastodon (maybe)
10/31 - Devin Townsend/TesseracT

11/19 - Epica
11/20 - Epica
11/21 - Blind Guardian (this will be my epic northeastern birthday weekend and I will make it work somehow...)

9/27 - Katatonia/Orphaned Land/Swallow The Sun
10/2 - Nevermore
11/3 - Gov't Mule
11/17 - Nile/Ex Deo/Keep Of Kalessin
12/2 - Dimmu Borgir
12/9 - Epica/Scar Symmetry
12/10 - Blind Guardian
