UPLIFTING songs

Porcupine Tree, The Flaming Lips...

What can I say, I'm a sucker for "She Don't Use Jelly" and "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots pt 1". Also, "Do You Realize" has gotten me through some tough times.

Reggae, also.

Anyways, the metal side would have to be...

Ensiferum, Thyrfing, Iced Earth, AC/DC, Opeth.

Well, if uplifting means the same as music with power or just music you like listening to when partying or stuff you may check this thread out if you wish:

The only song I really can come up with that makes me feel good as such (although the songs with power and stuff in that link kind of does too) is The Beatles' "Eight days a week". It makes me feel kind of happy and stuff! It's also on that list by the way.

Anything from AC/DC

I also dig the following...

Guns N' Roses - The Blues
Filter - The Only Way (Is The Wrong Way)
Joe Satriani - Summer Song

Manowar is definetely my "feel-good band" with songs like Fighting the World, Carry On, Black Wind Fire and Steel, Wheels of Fire, Kings of Metal, Heart of Steel, Hail and Kill, Metal Warriors, Brothers of Metal, Fight Until We Die and the most uplifting song I know (always makes me feel good, cure for the worse day): Master of the Wind.

Yeah, I know, they're "gay" and yap yap yap... fuck off.

Edit: Forgot to mention Total Satan by The Crown, that song is cathartic!
