US elections.

Hehe, two stations over there just declared a Bush win, he must have got Ohio... Mark is gonna be PISSED :)

I'm shocked!
At least the next 4 years can't possibly be as bad and controversial as his first term.. Can it?? :erk:

It's still close - Kerry has gained New Hampshire, and is beginning to score with the upper midwest (Michigan, Wisconsin etc). Ohio is still too close to call, and has 100s of 1000s of votes still to count (including 100,000 or so from a heavily-dem area).

Now, remember these states are being called by the TV NETWORKS - counting is still going on, and there are still MANY absentee votes to tally.

I AIN'T GIVING UP YET!!

It would be a somewhat hollow victory when it is that close, knowing half the country doesn't like you.
And the other half drive pickups.

geez I might be a bit of a conspiracy theorist here, but the 3 most hated governments in the modern history of each country still get in even though over half the population don't vote for them....will it mean they are all rigged?

Bush wins. But only just. If he had won by a bigger margin, I'd still be disappointed, but him just scraping in like that worries me even more. It proves to me that America is even more divided that anyone could have imagined, and that could be far more troublesome than anything bin Laden could dream up.

It would be funny if Kerry won Ohio after conceding :)

"YOU CANT TAKE THAT BACK!"
"I CAN TAKE ANYTHING I WANT BACK!"
"IF YOU WONT PLAY FAIR DONT PLAY AT ALL!"

And so on.

I thought these were funny

You know what else? Before the election, everyone thought it was the US Administration who were the bad guys, but now that the US people have actually voted the cunt back in, it's obvious that the Americans themselves were the bad guys after all. At least, that's the way a lot of countries are going to see it.
