Since my walls are thin I cant really use an amp, so I am stuck using headphones. Right now I am running my guitar through a POD studio GX and using POD Farm as my amp sim software. The sounds are pretty good, and I just hooked up a Zakk Wylde Wah pedal to is and it works great. I was just wondering if any of you have a similar setup and use an overdrive or chorus pedal with it. I'm curious as to whether or not they will work well with it. I am just looking to step my tone up to the next level and am wondering where to go next within the world of headphone playing.
looking at getting these:

I have this distortion pedal:

which I hooked up to my setup using a clean sound, and when I turned on the distortion it really didn't sound like a good metal tone at all...sounds completely different than using it through an actually amp. so that's why I am asking for your opinions before I buy the other pedals. thanks.
edit:
or better yet, is there a different route other than amp sims that is better for metal playing (black label society style) that will allow me to listen to my computer itunes and play through headphones? for example I see people mentioning that a Blackstar HT-Dual would be better than an amp sim....thoughts?
