Anybody have anything recorded with a v-amp pro they could post. Just want to here some achieved sounds.

Thanks in Advance.

I've seen a few posts with V-Amp tones in them, try doing a search and see what comes up..... I haven't heard anything great come out of a V-Amp though...

When I saw Dark Tranquility, they were using V-Amps and Dual Rectifiers. Don't really know what they used the V-Amps for though.

Probably cleans...I would bet every last cent I have on it. I have never heard a single decent tone from V-Amp in the several years it's been around. PODxt > V-Amp. :p

These are some samples of stuff I recorded with a v-amp 2 (not the pro version) about 2-3 years ago (low quality, different sounds all of them), 2 of them are pieces of 2 opeth songs:

I now own a POD XT w/ all model packs and I agree it's much better

Hey deathtotaliban, I became a fan of Odious Mortem, thx posting it :)

Both Clean and Distorted sounds. They do it to maintain a consistant tone, supposedly.

Yeah, I saw Dark Tranquility live using V-Amp pros as well. They were definitely using it for distorted sounds. It was one of the worst live guitar tones ever. :puke:

That being said. I've got one that I use for scratch tracks and for putting down fast ideas. It's not that bad if you spend some real time dialing it in. Unfortunately, I don't really have any examples to post.

for $150...i'll gladly take one

untill then...i can do my scratch tracks with the v-amp :)

Word.

Modelers make me want to puke anyway...:p .... So if I want to do quick and easy scratch tracks or something along those lines, no way I'm plopping down the money for a POD. I'll take a 150 dollar V-amp pro. I think the difference is negligable anyway.

I could not agree more....

Well this is definitely not the worst guitar tone I have heard but not quite a selling point either. I have to believe the v-amp's can be dialed to achieve somewhat of a decent tone? Not a lot of samples out there to hear though. Wouldn't mind hearing some clean. Fucking price range is so damn favorable and I know without a doubt the v-amp can crush my current ampeg (vh-140c) cleans but still hesitant on the crunch. Another selling point is the spdif connection which would free another channel up on the firepod. Anything comparable in this price range that will bring the pain?

what's wrong with that? now all you need is the $50 dollar exspansion to be kicking ass!

Nothing is wrong with it. Do most of the patches people use here on the forums use only the metal shop expansion? Or would I be better off getting all the model packs for $100?
