I've heard that the band members of Vehemence post here from time to time, and I just wanna say that from what I've heard of your band, I fucking LOVE it. But are you guys aware of how much flack you are recieving over the content of your lyrics and the artwork for God Was Created? Personally, I think the lyrics are refreshing and pretty original...although a bit corny. And the cover artwork, well, sucks. Sorry, but hey. Surely you guys can do better, c'mon!

Flack over the lyrics...What the fuck do people want us to write about? Flowers or someshit? IT's fuckin death metal! I think Nate is an awesome writer, and vocalist... Same goes for the artwork. Some love it , some hate it. Oh well. WHo cares man, We all dig it.

Let me just say that most people I talk to about Vehemence find it very easy to rant about how much they fucking suck. Don't get me wrong, I fucking LOVE the band...but I totally agree with them about the cover artwork...how goddamn lame. Also, they claim that they steal 90% of their material from other bands. I can't make that same criticism but I do think that the band comes off a bit amateurish...but whatever.
I dunno man...amateurish...the whole them of God Was Created. I mean, it's really good and all...but...I guess the thing that really rubs me wrong is that godfuckingawful cover artwork haha, hate to bring that up again but goddamn! Is that the boogeyman?
also, I'd like to know what bands we've stole from... Can they back up what they are saying??? Or is it just meaningless shit talk?
Are you a member of the band? If so, then seriously man, you should check out the relapse board. Believe it or not, there are LOTS of metal-knowitalls that seem to think you guys are fucking hacks. I'm not really big on deathmetal...more into grind/sludge/thrash...so I can't say anything about these plagiarism claims, but many people think you guys suck just because you are all really young and shit.

Most of them are wannabe, AMATEUR reviewers who are trying to bash but cannot do it quite right.
VEHEMENCE has INFLUENCES, if you understand what that means being under 13 and all. INFLUENCES means they derive their styles from bands they ADMIRE. That is what every fucking band does just to inform you of another thing you seem to be lacking. One more thing, as you previously stated you are not INTO death metal (wether it be the lyrics or whatever), you are into SLUDGE, THRASH? Your opinions are rather dry, and if I must say AMATEUR! Stay in your own genre, and stop posting what others think, have your own god damn opinions!

The ONLY reason I came here was to check out the fanbase and see what all the criticism I've heard was about. So before you fucking start attacking me just because I personally only found ONE thing wrong with the disc...and a very MINOR fault at that...CRAM IT, PAL!

Nope. This was taken from the latest issue (that's write, a magazine) Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles:
Killer, intelligent tunes. Dumb, ridiculous lyrics and packaging. Why can life never be easy in the realm of metal? How can I defend the means when the exterior is such a mockery and embarrassment? How am I supposed to convert all the people I know to our cause if I can't even show them the booklet? I am aware that God Was Created is a stab at a concept album. And I am also aware, upon glancing at the lyrics and booklet, that something vaguely intellectual is going on here, the attack on all things church (yawn) being portrayed in a sexually illuminating light. And, most importantly, I am very aware that the death metal presented on God Was Created is inspiringly impressive, combining a nicely mixed (i.e. low in the mix) piano with slowed down In Flames-isms and a ferocioius growl. These tracks, especially 'She Never Noticed Me' and 'The Last Fantasy of Christ', can serve as both mellow-out bed-timers or charged morning wake-ups; it's a feat that not many bands accomplish. But when you've also got 'Christ I Fucking Hate You!', disemboweled women in the liner notes, and borderline gore-porn as lyrics, you've gotta feel an immense amounts of frustration. Vehemence, get your minds out of the decrepit and pull it together. The genius of the music you create deserves much better.

I really can't say much about this review other than I disagree with the knock on the lyrics, as I've read them on different websites. The art, I fully agree with...but that really doesn't fucking matter to me that much. As for the music, I'm gonna have to wait until I get the disc in the mail to judge for myself....but I'm quite sure I wouldn't give it anything under an 8.
Hey guys, I'm curious...what exactly do you mean by concept album anyways? Are you just experimenting with different ideas and seeing how it all turns out with GWC?
Well the whole album is a story... thats what we mean by "concept album". Read the lyrics in the track order when you get a chance. It would be cool to see this concept on film someday!
