Vermitronic Systems: press release 1.0
…………………………………………………….
Greetings

Vermitronic Systems’ brand new site is online and I would like to introduce to you this multi-level project linked to Scald’s music and Unhinged Art activities.

Vermitronic was originally instigated as a D.I.Y. label for the production and limited self-release of Scald's acclaimed album 'Headworm'.

Now planning our second release for Scald - the experimental, instrumental, conceptual project - 'Vermiculatus', Vermitronic Systems has now expanded to become the communitive face of Scald alongside Unhinged Art + Design and any of the relative audio + or visual projects of it's operatives.

Vermitronic will also provide direct selling of releases and merchandise, free downloads, limited low price CDR releases and anything else we see fit.

There are no plans at present to release non-Scald music.

Collaborations and trades with like-minded progressive labels and individuals may be sought.

Labels interested in licences should contact us through the Vermitronic site.

We are seeking distribution for our releases; if you are interested in stocking our wares please get in touch. We will accept some trades if suitable.

Vermitronic will provide a small mail order limited to titles we see fit.

Vermitronic Systems is also a platform for Unhinged Art + Design. Specialising but not limited to dark + surreal artwork, Unhinged can provide you with professional standard design and artwork for reasonable rates.

To celebrate the launch of our new website and expansion of our activity Vermitronic Systems is giving away a full download of Scald's classic mini album 'Born With Teeth'. [CDR alternative is also available].
Simply visit the site to take advantage of this and other downloads including the track 'Godworm' from the 'Headworm' album!

All mp3 material is copyright of Scald and may not be used except for personal use without express permission.

can't wait for the instrumental track. should be some funked up stuff. any idea how much it will be? not that it really matters, as I'll be buying it regardless

Haven't listened to Born With Teeth yet, but I listened to Headworm for the first time since reviewing it today... fuck me, you guys really have something going on that album! I don't know why Relapse or someone similar didn't jump all over it. Hats off.

thanks man
well relapse directly are pretty much a no -go
they only really sign heavily touring bands if they're unknown
as for others, well ..... what more can I do?

...........................

no price on vermiculatus yet J
the packaging is going to cost a lot
I hope it'll be no more than £7, which considering £10 is supposedly cheap here is ok I reckon, it'll be the length of an album anyway

I think "The Harvest" is a brilliant image. ANd for some reason, I like the Revile-High Tide cover. Probably because it's tranquil looking.

Hey Paul, this is me, Mark Herrera, whom has been recently talking to you via email about buying Scald's old demos. Have you received my reply to your latest email about you launching the Vermitronic site? I already had an envelope with 20$ sent to the post office en route to you.

hey Mark
aye got the mail cheers
I'm going to attempt to answer a bunch now
before getting back to some fartwork
yours too J, sorry about the delay on all that shit been trying o jugle about 30 burning candles , metaphorically ofcourse , I don't think my home insurance covers it

meantime enjoy the considered opinion of Rock Hard magazine

Scald 'Headworm'
For the greatest possible sensory stimulation the band
recommends darkness and high volume. What they forgot,
however, was a family pack of aspirin, preferably
washed down with a bottle of paint thinner. Otherwise
this noisy sludge-muck is unbearable. Fearless noise
fetishists can buy the album for ?15 at
www.scald.me.uk or just stand next to the pneumatic
hammer of their choice.

Hey I finally checked out the Headworm interactive thingy! Pretty cool, I'll spend some more time with it but the intro is great and I dig the artwork section.
