Some soundtracks of Video Games are Very cool, like Megaman X, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and Rpgs Like Golden sun, Shooter games like Quake II and DOOM have very good music too.

I tend to listen to Megaman music alot, original and X, and some other stuff.

At the side of that I do listen to some Metroid and The legend of Zelda music, and somethin else what I can't remember.

I play allkinds of song alot, many times songs from etc. Kirby and Super Mario.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night has the best soundtrack made for any video game as far as I'm concerned. Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong country (the first two in particular) and the Metroid series are also worth a mention.

Diablo II is the only game with a soundtrack I ever actually noticed. It's the shit. Dark psych & world music.

Super Castlevania IV has the best music of any Castlevania game. Anybody who says Symphony of the Night's soundtrack is superior has never heard IV's.

It's that kind of gothic cohesiveness that the Symphony soundtrack lacked. Many of the songs in that game didn't even have an eerie mood.

The ambient sounds in doom 3 are among the best IMO. For music I'd say either Fable, Jade Empire, or the Splinter Cell series. The Halo series has some great cinematic music as well.

I can ensure that music played in old Nintendo (or any console?) games (also new video games) are made by very talented composers and I admire all these works and masterpieces. The used sounds are kinda cheap and strange, but if you listen to it without carring about the sounds, only the way it's done, wow. You can find many treasures hidden in video games.

Actually, I have heard IV's soundtrack, and I still think SOTN is much better. I'm into that orchestral mixed with rock type sound, which it's full of. I found the tracks fit where they're played perfectly in the game, so who cares about it's "gothic cohesiveness"? It doesn't really matter at all but there's also the fact that SOTN is at least 63.5X better than any other Castlevania game.

I'm a bitch for video game soundtracks. I don't want to have to state the obvious that all of this is my own shitty opinion (but I'm going to anyway).
