Vintersorg = NSBM?

I personally buy Cd's that hold a very NSH sentiment or subject matter regardless of what the musical style or the people behind it are like. It is simply an imagery I enjoy and that empowers me.
You're basically saying that as long as the band supports racism/nationalism you will support it. Fuck off.

I was simply saying that not everything on a NS merchandise store is NS. If Vintersorg sound like something that appeals to the NS mindset, it will probably be sold. I listen to anything National Socialist Heathen-like.This is done to provide "inspirational" atmosphere condusive to a my own morals and values. I listen to anything, mostly Irish and German folk music., so long as the content appeals to me. As far as bands that support racism/nationalism, I support bands that are NS, like Burzum and bands that aren't, like Vintersorg.

Well... at least I haven't heared anything 'bout that down here in germany... might be because almost nobody here has ever heared about Vintersorg

it has nothing to do about being political correct or whatever...it's about evolving as a writer and challange ourselves for each and every album, I could easily write another "Till Fjälls" album lyricwise, but what's the point, it is in the past...it's matter of movement on every level, not just for the sake of it, but for the sake of being inspired.

Please write another album like "Till Fjälls".. Please..

I second that.
For the fans.

*sigh*
it's pretty evident that if an artist does not feel like writing a spcific type of album but does so anyway, then there wont be any feeling and emotion in it, it will be a product, not art; thus it will probably suck immensly. emmotion/passion is what makes music great.

there's no sense in that. It's natural for a musician and his work to evolve. If he had not done changes in his career, he would have probably ended up like Manowar and their latest album, which IMO (and not only MO) truly sucks :)

@urinalcakemix : NSBM = Nazi (National Socialism) Black Metal = Shit

@Goch : For Manowar, that true, I prefer the first albums. The most funny is that in one of their song ("The gods made Heavy Metal") they said "We are not living in the past !"

i haven't heard their newest one, the last studio i heard was Louder than Hell, and save for a few songs (Courage comes to mind) they all followed the traditional Manowar formula....they are great musicians, but they do need to update their sound

you haven't missed a thing by not hearing Warriors of the world. It's full of patriotism and praise for themselves and the music sounds like it was the last thing on their minds when they were making the album.

I like the past to be the past...but we'll always have the foundating Vintersorg essence in the songs, as that is what we are and where we come from..

Aaaahhh here we go again...I'm so f****** bored with that thing....if they only red our lyrics and tried to understand our concepts it would be very clear that we are not a political band ...not rightwinged, not left, not in the middle...we're simply not a political band at all,,, we deal with art, philosophy, man and nature....

Not religion, politics, society..etc...

mr V
With that said where does Andreas Hedlund stand politically? don't answer if you think it's none of our business :p

If you're an immigrant it's ok to be proud of your roots, even good. But if you're a part of the ethnic majority it's not ok, and in many cases you'll be stamped as extreme rightwing if you say it.

damn right! I'm from Germany and it's the same problem in here. There is a politician who said once "I'm proud to be a German" and it has been discussed among the media for weeks!
rubbish!
