I recently updated my Voivod archives to include all of the essential albums . . . at least I'm told they're the essential ones.

I own:

War and Pain (great, raw thrash)
Killing Technology
Dimension Hatross
Nothingface
Angel Rat
The Outer Limits

I don't have any of the Eric Forrest stuff, Rrroooaaarrr, or the newest, because of such mixed reviews on all of them.

So which Voivod is eveybody else partial to. I'm having a tough time deciding whcih my favorite is. I'm leaning toward War and Pain, Nothingface, or The Outer Limits.

DIMENSION HATROSS
My fav thrash metal album, and one of the best albums ever.
Generally Voivod are so so so great gods of amazing music

I voted for Killing Technology ... as it is their most accesible thrash record.
But Dimension HAtross and Nothingface are all essential as well.
All three should be in a metal fans collection.

RRrrooooaaaarrr is their most trivial release. I think they must have been doing some serious drugs during the recording of this one.

Nothingface is absolute worship.

And if you have Angel Rat, one of their worst, there is no excuse for not having their latest, which is phenomenal, fuck what JayKeeley or anyone else says. Go read my review... it's classic Voivod.
