I'm sorry, I'd have to disagree with you there. I think it's the other way around, that jimi hendrix cannot be compared with those slash/h/etc. sure, hendrix was an amazing player, and he did take the guitar to new levels, but i don't think he was as good as Slash or Dave or H. Slash is such a diverse player: he does amazing shred solos like paradise city then very passionate solos like Don't Cry. Maybe it's just becuase i'm not a big fan of hendrix (in all truth i was a little dissappointed when i heard him.) but i honestly don't think he was as good as Slash is now, or even when he'd only been around for about 5 years.

obviously, it's entirely your own opinion, and anyone who says its wrong is an arrogant shit head, thats why i'm only disagreeing.

thinking about it, it is almost impossible to compare Hendrix with any modern guitarist because of the difference of time/equipment etc. i s'pose this should really just be a"who is your favourite guitarist?" poll instead........
