I'm not familiar with Waken, is it a newer festival? I feel so damn old...

Depends on what you compare it to, this year is the 17th annual festival...

now what i am starting to fear for Wacken, is bad weather... its been raining like crazy for 2 days here and now there is tons of wind.
I never had rain at a festival (exept from some drops or a little rain on teh first day) not even when i only was there for one day, and i hope i will never know that.

The Deutsche Bahn lost its monopoly a few years ago, so maybe there's a way to reach Itzehoe with those

they renamed themselves to "Die Bahn" ("the train") a few years ago =)
