Wah pedal where in chain?

Where should I put a wah pedal in the signal chain on my amp?


I have been putting it just before my delay pedal like this:

Tuner-->distortion-->blues driver-->tube king-->wah pedal-->phaser--> delay

I don't currently use the effects loop. I used to put the dealay and phaser through it but it was a pain in the ass.


However the problem with the above signal chain is that the wah pedal makes the signal (for some reason) hoter than normal and it fucking sucks. Would putting it through the effects loop help? I think the amp has some sort of db cut for the loop as well. But is it a good idea or will it fuck up the sound?

The reason why I even ask is because I am forced to use one (I don't really like wah pedals in general) for a show we have this month, we are covering some godsmack song and the solo uses one uke:
