.. On a couple of gtrs, because it's located way too close to the bridge pup for my chord playing (hurts my fingers on the down strokes, as I like to play those chugz hard)-

I'm planning to yank the tone gate/pot altogether (no use for it, personally) and put the volume in there instead, would like it if the front of the instrument ends up looking cleaner- so my question is this:
What can I put in there to cover the hole (where the vol pot was) and hopefully not mess the aesthetics of the gtr? are there items sold for this kind of thing (like some very low-profile pot or knob-like lid, if that makes sense) or some epoxy resin kinda thing maybe?

Thanks

You might be able to find some kind of plug that fits the same size hole. That's what I'd do if you don't want to fill it in, so it's reversible.

Yea I'm doing the same thing. Jackson puts the volume pot in a bad spot. Look at Karl's (Nile) guitar . he uses a plastic plug of some sorts, looks clean

You can get little rubber plugs at just about any hardware store. I did the same thing to my ESP and my Ibanez and the end result is a super simple, sleek look.

This. I already move the volume pot on my Jackson Ke-2 to the tone pot spot, Marty Friedman used to do the same thing on his early kellys (pre ke-1)
