wanting to buy a combo to record

hey am new to recording and to playing guitar (i am a drummer) a want to start recording a amp instead of tracking through amplitube 2. a was looking at a line 6 spider 3 15 watt its £69 is this good?

I wouldn't bother with micing up a real amp until you can afford something decent. A Spider 3 isn't going to get you there. You're better off tracking with Amplitube. Given the current modelers available, there's no reason to mic up an inferior amp.

cool thanx the only reason a was goin to get sumthin like that was just for the practice of mic up and eqing a real amp what sorta amp would you say a should get?

Agreed. If you bypass the speaker modeling in Amplitube and use impulses you can get really close.
