I was watching the film the ninth gate this morning and 2 or 3 times there was a scene when the central charicter was sitting infront of a very similar window with similar lighting. perhapse an insperation?

Wait a sec... wasn't there another thread that noticed the similarities between Watershed and Tim Burton's Legend of Sleepy Hollow?

Maybe what Watershed is REALLY about is Mikael's secret love for Johnny Depp.

I haven't seen it in a while, to the point I can remember a lot of specific shots, but I highly doubt it's a reference , or should I say an "insperation". Ninth Gate is definitely one of Depp's and Polanski's worst films. Polanski is great but inconsistent, Chinatown, Rosemary's baby and The Pianist for example dominate but he has done his share of rubbish.

Yeah, and Tool is a prog band, just like Dream Theater, and DT have alot of influence from Metallica, and that band has the awesome music genre on it's name. From that genre comes a nice little band Iron Maiden which has inspired thousands of metal bands, and one of these bands is... actually I don't remember any.
