Waves SSL 4000 Native for $466 at audiomidi.com

Usually I'd advocate being sensible with your money but... in this case that would involve buying the CLA bundle. It's a great set of compressors, modeled really well. I've done a number of tests with the 1176s against my real equivalents, and the Waves stack up really well. Lacking that final bit of vibe, but not half bad considering you can instantiate as many of them as your CPU can handle.

There are some good deals to be had out there on Waves plugins right now. I just bought the C6 for $165.
Dude! Where?

EDIT: Found it, you can buy the C6 on Ebay for $180 from audiodeluxe_store.
The description says "Software Serial Number License Cards and iLok License Transfer Cards are shipped via USPS Priority Mail" though.
Why in gods name would they send you the serial via Mail? Emails are so much easier and faster.
And I really don't need the C6 so I won't buy it. :D I can resist the GAS haha

Yeah... paid nearly $100 more for it 7 days ago. It's times like this I hate going legit. The companies should be trying to support their customer base, not screw them. Happened with the CLA pack too. A month later it went down by a few hundred.

@fitz: I don't know, I've never tested. Though the plug-in seems to have a set noise level that's quite high if you mix around the -18dbFS mark. The hardware is obviously dependent on what the converters are calibrated to. The noise is manageable but once you crank it you can really hear the hissing and ground hum.

Try the demos and decide if it's worth the investment. I have the Mercury bundle and the Studio Classics and I must admit the SSL stuff is really cool, but the Artist Packs are definitely the coolest packs out. JJP and CLA packs are my favorites, though they might not be what you're looking for. They're an all inclusive signal chain with Compression, 2 band EQ, Reverb and Delay. The parameters are all under the hood, you just tweak, it's almost too easy to use.

And no, I didn't pirate these.

Hmm, sounds like they have from that description, ta. It makes sense since it was included with the SSL collection, albeit with the option to turn it off.

Might not be the whole month, it just says 'limited time.' If you're thinking about any waves plugs, now is the time... I've never seen a 40% off deal, the monthly specials are usually 35%.

tempted to get the CLA pack... make me do it.
Do it, it sounds amazing... oh wait I don't own it. yet.
Do they sell the L1 Ultramaximizer as an individual plug-in?
Afaik only directly from waves ($180). Never really liked the L1, at least not as a mastering limiter.
You could get the Native Power Pack for $250 with a few other plug-ins :loco:

Renaissance Max Bundle is a steal for the money right now, im not sure if i can resist but ive just spent £190 upgrading my sonnox bundle,
do i need it?....ow but i want it........:(
