I have over 600 cds ive yet to listen to.Anyone else keeps getting music and just never seem to can get it all listened too?Im wayyyyy behind.

I only buy stuff I'm going to listen.

I try to keep spinning my collection, but of course newer albums get more action than old and classics.

No what im asking if u any of u ever get way behind on listening to any of your cds as in getting so many in at a time they add up and u cant get to them all at once?Over time that is.

No, because again I'm buying them and listening as soon as they arrive. The most I have bought on a single purchase can be the times at the PPUSA market, and even with 10-20 CDs I made the time to listen to them all (a week or two).

I don't do this (at the moment) as I can't afford to. But the way to look at it is that you are aquiring now what you may not be able to afford to at some point in your life and when that time comes you'll have loads of fresh stuff to listen to :) Also if the specific type of music you are into ever goes through a really bad patch at least you will have decent stuff to get you through it.

I was "on top" on my CD listening so to speak. Last year I came into a few insane CD sales: $1/CD, 2 for $5, etc. Needless to say, I bought about 50 and am still trying to sort through those. Nevermind all of the new music constantly coming out.

I don't get behind on my listening of new purchases since I listen to them as soon as I buy them. What does happen is that the more CDs I have the less I come back for repeat listens.
Last September I decided to listen to my entire record collection - it took me 6 months to finish.

Amen, brother...well said!

I find time to listen to the cd's I buy, Sometimes it takes a while though. What I do not have time for is to read all the info & lyrics while listening to the cd's.

Some of the bands I like these days take a lot of effort to absorb. Prog rock/Metal/rock opera type stuff with multiply vocalist. 2 cd 2 hour long epics. They need your full attention and multiply listens to get the whole story and know who is singing what. But it is worth it to me in the end.

There are times when I have a stack of unopened cd's sitting there because I get hooked on a new cd and will listen to it constantly. But I do find the time to listen to them.

What my original question is i guess is i have been buying hundreds of cds at 60-80 at a time over the last 2-3 years and is wayyyyy behind.Thats what i was asking in my original post.

There are to many good albums out there to settle with crap i probably will never listen to. I rarely buy cds i havnt listened to before.

I dont understand what you mean by behind, just start listening to them, its for entertainment not work.

Which is most logical in the digital era. Few albums don't leak before the release, pretty easy to check them before a purchase.

Unless you are a reviewer for some media :p

I didn't see anyone being rude.

Hell, I'll be rude. Evidently he doesn't like the responses in his thread. He asked a question that got some decent responses, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Dude...we get it...you buy a fuckload of CDs...good for you. Quit bragging, sit the fuck down and listen to them. Or don't. This is a problem for you?

Sheesh...my life should be so fucking hard...
