While I have never been embarrassed by being a fan of some folk artists like Neil Young (My former band used to play a cover of "Rockin' in the Free World," I can't say that I have ever been moved by many country songs. However, this song gets to me in the right way. The artist is a monster guitar player (which I actually only found out later after liking the song) and I guess the fact that his song features as much music orchestration that is top notch as just focusing on vocals makes me appreciate it.
