You know what fucking pisses me off? I'm getting popups in Firefox now. For the longest time I got none, then one or two squeaked by, lately I've been getting a few a day. :fuckthis: :HATEYOURFACE:

There's an update as of last night though, hopefully it has addressed this issue. I'm running an earlier version at work (whenever I try to update the program crashes, could be the work firewall) and it doesn't really do it here. So yeah.

The worst part was, I could run Ad-Aware and it would kill all the 'bugs'. And then I would run it again INSTANTLY and it would find more bugs on the second go round. I'd also have to disconnect my ethernet cable because pop ups were occuring whilst Ad-aware was running, infecting while it was disinfecting.

This is hacking. Hacking is gay.

thats exactly what was happening to me. i was running adaware at least 5 times a day. screwdat.
i downloaded microsoft antispyware beta1 and its divine
no problems since.

so the consensus so far is that Microsoft makes a shitty browser ... but something great to protect it?

firefox the way to go; ignore IE unless you really really need to goto a site that does not render properly in firefox. also check out the adblock extension here...

i too use ad-aware, spybot; and the msft beta antispyware from giant found a few things the others didnt' - sygate is also nice firewall if you don't want or turst msft firewall in xp sp2

also if you must use IE - ignore the urge to add on toobars like googlebar, yahoo bar and other SHITE!!
