were you popular in high-school?

Nah. It took me 18 years to grow into this nightmare of arms and legs. I was a geek. Queen Geek, actually, by virtue of never having actually blown milk out my nose or worn orange foundation, but a geek nevertheless.

In my senior year, my body finally caught up to my limbs and my face caught up to my teeth, and suddenly people wanted to be friendly. Arguably, I got a little more self-confident, too, by that time, but I still never quite trusted the sudden shift.

I was glad when I got to college and met some grown ups who'd either like you or not because you were you.

If we were popular, then we'd be listening to Britney Spears

:( I used to listen to britney spears when I was in high school, hahahaahah. Somehow I got into metal and here I am.

anyways, I wasn't really popular, but I wasn't an outcast either. Everyone at my school of 2000 was pretty cool with each other. Sure there were popular people there, but they didn't seem to look down on everyone. And I rarely ever saw a fight of any kind.

I was never too popular but noone hated me as well. I could have conversations with almost everyone but that was it. I never stayed to hang out after school or anything... I guess me and my schoolmates had different interests. I seem to get along better with some of them now actually

An interesting question. It was only in going back to my ten year reunion this last June that I realized I was popular in a sense. At least I was known in every group and liked by members of every group despite pretty much disliking all of them. And my high school was very much Breakfast Club in that there were very obvious different groups and they tended to have weird parameters. I left without looking back really, and I had a few close friends that I am still close to and keep in contact with to this day.

Weird memories indeed.

I also have to say that high schools in America are very different from the rest of the world....
here you guys have mainly idiots who play for the school football team/ cheerleaders and those kids define the "popular" group,
while over seas, high school sport teams are not emphasized as much as here, so the players are just regular kids with regular attidute.
There are no cheerleaders either...
SO, yeah, I was popular, with the fact that I was in the art class, wearing metal, and being myself.. there was no "popularity contest" per se like some high schools have here... me thinks.
Its just different.

nop. funny enough i get along better with sophmores than juniors (i'm ajunior). My junior class is kinda retarded except a few people. I'm not that popular, but i'm the school's "pingpong" rising star. When soccer season starts pwnage shall occur and i will get some school rep and popularity

I went to an art high school where you actually had to have a talent to attend. It was great. Everyone pretty much got along. I had all different kinds of friends. And I was smart and took all my credits in 3 years so I could be done with high school early!!
you still had to take english all four years right? there are some classes that you have to take all four years
