definitely the new Devy album. I am quite alone with this opinion (at least i guess) but i never really liked syl too much...
and terria and infinity and ocean machine were oh so great so it's the softie

but i will buy the 2 for sure. and by the way , the 2 albums are suposed to come out at the same time.

i look forward to anything devin does, from production to his own albums, but i must say i am eagerly awaiting the next syl installment, its been a while and im interested to see what the disc acctully contains

SYL, definetly. This does not mean I don't wait for new Devy album but for now it's SYL. I just wonder if Devin can take SYL-kinda music higher level after amazing City.

BTW, of all bands.. I'm most waiting next Nevermore release.

Dev said in an interview that the next SYL will sound like
what SYL should sound 5 years after city and that it will be much more modern. personally i doubt he can do better than city , but if he can , it will surelly be amazing.

I predict the next SYL will be better than City. I am much more eagerly awaiting his solo work of course, that's where his true talent is displayed. However, I have no predictions for this CD. I can only hope it is compareable to Terria in quality. It seems unlikely he can out-do his work on Terria. We'll see.

i'm more waiting for the new devy... syl is great, but solo just has so much more range emotionally to it. i'll definitely be thrilled to hear syl also, and play it to death, but i think in the end the new solo will have more of an impact on me.

the only thing is, this solo release is infact new songs, and may have acoustic versions of some older songs as well. i think dev is putting more into the new SYL and I believe this other album will be good, but nothing like anything hes done before. It seems like just a few songs he felt like doing without much in the way of effort, just stuff for fun. i could be wrong. but its not like this release is going to be HUGE as in new SYL AND the follow up to Terria....know what I mean?
