For me:

1. Skyfire
2. Scholomance
3. Die Apokalyptischen Reiter

If you respond, feel free to explain your choices, I just didn't feel like it.

1-Warmen (Band project of Janne Warmen of Children Of Bodom) really great!!
2-Children Of Bodom.....Janne kick ass!
3-Kalmah/Skyfire/Wintersun and Ensiferum are all very good

1. Children of Bodom: I know its generic, but they practically invented the melodic death+keyboard genre. Janne is a fuckin amazing keyboardist.

2. Skyfire: Always been a fan of the keyboard use, moreso on TD than anything else. So bombastic and epic.

3. Lilitu: Subtle but powerful. Ever since Memorial they've had these minor touches of keyboards that add so much. Keyboard lines on Only the End of the World and the title track from Delores Lesions are beautiful.

Skyfire.. i just love the keyboards in there songs, they work really well.

Warmen.. Janne is just an incredible player! amazingly fast and accurate!!

Sonata arctica.. again, great solos, work really well with the songs!

well skyfire's keyboards make for an awesome sound, hence me being here. the prog genre has a shitload of great keyboarders, too. Michael Pinnella from Symphony X is prolly my fav prog keyboarder. The guy from Dreamscape, Jan Vacik or something like that, is pretty good, too. of course there's always the 3 from dream theater, but im actually likin SX and dreamscape a little more. Joost Van Den Broek (not sure on that name either), ex-Sun Caged & Ayreon, is fucking amazing, also. Vivien LaLu ain't bad either. he goes for more of the ambient stuff, but the solo clips on his site are awesome. whats his name from Kalmah is good, too. oh yeah wtf i almost forgot the guy from Adagio. Kevin something, i think. damn i cant remember anyone's name. its later than i thought :err: . Richard Andersson or Vitalij Kuprij might be the fastest, tho...

shit that wasnt 3. whatever.

Skyfire is good at melodic use of keyboards without being too....prog (not that I have a problem with wimpy prog)

I loved dreamscape...

...until I found out it was a guy singing.

I would say Skyfire, Thyrfing, and Enslaved. I actually really like Burzum's keyboard usage as well. Varg has some amazing keyboard parts as well as keyboard instrumentals. Keyboards were not a big part of the overall music of Burzum though like the others.

Yeah, the final two Burzum albums were all keyboards. I know this, but I have not heard anything from those two albums yet. Afterr I get the other Burzum albums, I will probably check those two albums out.
