Anthrax?? @BradfordRio (dunno know yet, what I've liked what I've heard of their new album )

Dragonforce? @the underworld (highly likely)

Paul Di'anno? @bradford penningtons (depends on cash situation)

Stratovarius, Symphony X and Thunderstone @Electric Ballroom (confirmed)

Children Of Bodom @??? (possibly)

Blind Guardian Open-Air @coburg (highly likely)

Queensryche @Astoria (possibly although they should revert back th their pre Empire formular)

Wacken @wacken (confirmed)

Bloodstock03 @derby (confirmed for both nights - more power metal is needed though)

I am buying a new house so one gig a month it is for me. I dont buy many music mags so if any of you notice a band playing Leicester or Nottingham let me know please:) .
I went to see King Prawn the other night. What fucking night it was.First band I only saw the last 2 songs but they were great. The next band were Sonic Boom 6(from your neck of the woods sammi951)they were fan bloodytastic a cross of punk and rap/toasting type thing hard to explain but they were tight and loud. Next were The Brahman again some great punk tones with a metal edge at times. Not this silly yank punk either. Then came the mighty K.P.:) they are without doubt one of the best live bands around and the new stuff soundedf great (can't wait for the album). so all in all a good night check out King Prawn if they play near you you will have a great night.
Fingers have you seen s.l.f. before I think they were one of the best punk bands of that era.

Conquistador - Actually Sammi isn't particarly into Linkin Park. No they are not a 'metal' band, but I never said they were. I'm into loads of non metal bands, I'm not so narrow minded as to think music stops at heavy metal. I've seen Linkin Park live twice, and they are amongst the best gigs I have ever been to. And the Hybred Theory album is a superb album indeed. I know loads of metallers who think it's a superb album.

Sammi/Wilks - That is definitely a 'NOT'! They most definitely talk funny up north, and use the most strangest words! Still, we tolerate them! (Only kidding!). :)

I'll join in with Pax here. I also like Linkin Park. I also like Marilyn Manson, NOFX, etc etc.
If I like it I like it, and I don't give a fook (said in a Biff style) what anyone else thinks.

Now where's that Madonna album I was listening to?

Yeah I've only seen them the once previously, to be honest it was the mid to late 80's and Bruce Foxton from the Jam had joined them (In fact he's been in SLF longer than he was in the Jam).

I have to say last time I saw them they where awsome and I hope I'm not disapointed this time. As you say they were one of the best bands of that era, if you can get it cheap (and you haven't got it already) pick up "All the Best" it's got all the well known stuff on it like "Alternative Ulster, Suspect Device, Tin Soldiers etc." and a stonking version of Running Bear during which Jake Burns asks the crowd to leave the stage as the people at the back can't see!
