What are the next Gigs................

I think I read somewhere that Linkin Park, were a manufactured band???

Not sure of the accuracy of the statement, but if its a choice between Hear Say and Linkin Park I know who I would go and see.

...................

And the answer is Linkin Park before some smart arse says Hear Say.

I'll get me coat.

Conquistador - two points to make here :-

1) I'm not a "young lady", I'm a 34 year old WOMAN; and

2) Paxoman never had to "bribe" me for sex by coming to gigs that he didn't like, and in fact, all of those gigs he is going to aren't to my taste anyway!!

 :bah: :Shedevil: :yell:

SLF at rock city in March well thats the March gig sorted if I can get tickets.Fingers I have Flamable Material(scuse spelling) and Hanx I also have another on tape the title of which I can't remmber. They are 3 of the best punk albums ever.If you like punk and don't already have may i surggest you buy The Ruts album The Crack it pure fucking right on punk.

Well, good news on my end....I'll cross the Alpes to see Saxon, Queensryche (my two favourite metal bands of all time playing the same stage at the same event!!!!!!!) together with Whitesnake and Motorhead and many others at the Gods of Metal Festival in Monza/Italy june 8th...I'll make it a superlong weekend in Milan with my loved one, staying at a friends house for a couple of days...

Whitesnake plays here in Munich on a headlining show may 31st, apart from this the next two shows here on my end are

Saxon @ Zeppelinhalle Kaufbeuren(Germany) April 3rd
Saxon @ Rockhouse Salzburg(Austria) April 4th

Best from Munich,Germany

Karsten - I was half thinking about going to the Salzberg gig, but I haven't got a clue about getting there. Is there any information you can give me (or is there anyone else out there who has information). What is the nearest airport, how do I contact the venue, are there hotels near the venue etc.

Well, the homepage of the venue in Salzburg is www.rockhouse.at if this is any help. The venue is also pretty cool, looks inside much like a WW II air raid shelter..

Salzburg is a beautiful city and definitely worth checking out!!! Mozart was born there (you can go see his birth place), they have a gorgeous castle , and those sweet and great "Mozart Kugeln"..:-)

Well, Munich is 1 1/2h drive from Salzburg, Salzburg itself has a small airport as well...

If you really think about coming , we can meet up and I can show you around and help you....I could help you with a hotel, no problem....and if everything fails and you need a place to sleep here in Munich, I can offer you a sofa and rides to the Kaufbeuren and Salzburg gigs as well...

Best from Munich, Germany

Thanks for the links Sammi and Karsten.

That's really kind of you Karsten, thanks mate. :) I'll have to look at the links, see if I can get time off etc, and I'll let you know. Would be great to see Saxon again in another country, or maybe another two countries! :spin:

No problem, my offer is still valid...no expiration date..:-)

The Zeppelinhalle is also really cool...especially the roof construction with all the solid wood is a must..:-) Great acoustics also, seen Dokken there last may and my DAT came out killer!

Later,

Karsten

I'm certain I'll be going to see the old queensryche now mr degarmo has returned. I just hope with he brings back the sharp edged metal and not the depressing grungey shite

I have mixed feelings about the return of DeGarmo, because the worst QR album (HITNF) was his baby. Still looking forward to seeing them again as they are one of my Fav bands. Pity there's only one UK gig this year. Did both of them on the Q2K tour and they were both brilliant.

New Addition.

To my gig list next week:

Duff Leotard (also known as Def Leppard)

Free tickets wouldn't pay to see them these days they best play something off Pyromania.

Not in order, but here's what they played.

Let It Go,
Rock Rock,
Photograph,
Foolin',
Rock Of Ages,
Women,
Rocket
Animal,
Pour Some Sugar On Me,
Armageddon It,
Hysteria,
Let's Get Rocked,
Make Love Like A Man,
Action!
Two Steps Behind
When Love And Hate Collide,
Promises,
Now,
You're So Beautiful,
Long Long Way To Go
Four Letter Word

I was thinking about going to see Def Leppard, but at £27 a ticket plus booking fee, I decided against it! They just ain't worth that much money anymore.

Lagoon - Did you see anything of the support band (The Darkness). If so, what did you think of them? I've heard a couple of their songs, and they sound quite good. A bit Queenish, and basically they don't take themselves seriously. I tried to buy their album the other day, but the bloke in Virgin Megastore (the smallest Megasore I have ever seen!) didn't have a clue what I was talking about!

The only reason I'm going is cos the tickets are free, there's no way I would pay that to see them nowadays. (A mate's got a contact at Brixton I'll let you know how we go on and see if I can get any more freebies in the future!)

Mind you it would have been good value aroiund the time of Hysteria cos they were great then.
