Listening to Slang done it for me, what a load of pants that album is! Add in the fact that they said they have never been heavy metal (in other words turning their backs on their original fans) and Def Leppard can go swivel!
you've got a point there:cry:

Well, you can decide on short notice as well...I'll go to the shows anyway, I made up my mind the minute Saxon announced these upcmoming gigs in my vincinity..:-)

If you want me to lend you a hand, don't hesitate and just drop me a note..

Wow Paxoman the war rages on. Def leppard sold, tured there backs on the U.K. or just got it right what all the other U.K. metal bands (Saxon thats you as well). For me its ahard one to call the leps are great at what they do but I have nver liked them a great deal.Imust admit the first 4 albums I can listen to but everything else i have is a bit wank. Now I think about they sold out.

A late response I'm afraid.

The gig was good on Thursday but nothing remarkable. The set list was pretty much as Lagoon stated. It was good they played some old stuff and they didn't hammer out 7 or 8 tunes from the new album (unlike Maiden on the last tour). The sound was good and I was surprised to see they sold out Brixton. As a free gig goes it was good but I would not have been happy had I paid £27.

Most worrying point of the evening was the Ricky Warwick acoustic set, what is he doing?

Did you see anything of The Darkness Fingers? If so, were they any good?

Yeah I saw all their set, good old fashioned head down Rock N' roll. I think they would be better in a venue like the LA2 or The Underworld, they did seem a bit over rawed (not sure thats the spelling?) but I guess that is to be expected. It was good to see a young band not taking themselves too seriously the lead singer changed outfits halfway through the set and looked like Freddie Mercury on acid. On a worrying note the bass player looked like a young Dobby.

Cheers Fingers. I'm going to see them at the LA2 in april, so sounds like it might be good then.

Definitely, I think Brixton can be quite intimadating for support bands, they should tear up the LA2.

By the way I saw and had a chat with Greg Hart at the Leppard gig, small world isn't it just days after discussing him on here. He was bemoaning the fact that it's Cup Final day and Whitesnake are playing the night they play the LA2 from a footie point of view I pointed out his team Palace wouldn't be at the final anyway.
