Now those are some sexy Gibsons (even if I prefer having pickguards), but why oh why no ebony fingerboard? Always something not quite there with Gib. Like, we'll go the full mile bar an inch, for that you have to call the custom shop. Fuckers.

You're right that would be sexy as hell with ebony. Why didn't they? And for that matter the headstocks need to have binding too.

The pickguard hate isn't an aesthetic thing for me, it's having to fit the damned thing back down with wires tightly scrunched underneath, only to have to pull the strings back off if something needs to be changed just to get the pickguard off.
