What are you guys listening to that isn't metal these days

On heavy rotation...

Al Di Meola - Casino & Elegant Gypsy

Brian Setzer Orchestra - Vavoom. 'From Here To Eternity' is totally awesome! There are several other hit songs in this album too.

Dave Weckl - Master Plan. Great rhythmic virtuosity, but not over the top. My favourite song 'Masterplan' has two drumsets playing in background, nice :)

Frank Zappa - You can't do that on stage anymore vol 3. Best live collection from FZ IMO. I've been listening this album since I was 16! Shitload of great songs and playing. Drowning witch is awesomeness :) "She could mutate insanely..." :D

Larry Carlton - Collection. Very easy-listening.

Phil Collins - Hits. I really like the old sounds, great music...

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon & Wish You Were Here. Nuff said.

Joscho Stephan - I've only heard this guy playing in youtube videos, but really like the music. Of course I like Django too. Gotta find out where to order some Joscho Cd's.

-Peter Fox - Stadtaffe. German rap artist, for some reason really like his style.
[...]
How did you get to know him? I wasn't aware that his stuff was released in the US as well.
(No, I won't bash you if you say you downloaded it, I'm just curious how you found out about him.)

Nine Inch Nails
Aphex Twin

maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot, Xploding Plastix, Prefuse 73, The Knife, M83

another kayo dot fan, hoorah!

And ermin, Jeremy Soule is one of my favourite video game composers.
The Guild Wars soundtrack stuff is fucking GORGEOUS. The Oblivion score doesn't do much for me, but I think that's just a personal thing. Not much about that game does much for me, so I think my opinion of the score gets wrapped up in that a little bit, which is a shame.

czech the guild wars stuff if you havent already though. amazing stuff.

Mostly not listening to anything, but when I do:

Movie scores/soundtracks
Thai music

Rock/metal is the choice when partying or seeking for references :kickass:

Movie and video game soundtracks, 70s prog, 80s pop, arena rock (JOURNEY :headbang: ) - after 1990 though, I don't think there's really band-oriented stuff I like that isn't metal! Oh, except Alice in Chains, they rule, but otherwise I really don't like grunge

+1 on the guy who mentionned Silent Hill soundtracks, they're great
I really love videogames soundtracks too, and I listen to a lot of them since I want to base my carreer on videogames music
These days, I listen to the God of war sound tracks a lot, its so epic: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=netWaDyeeDA&feature=related[/ame]

I also listen a lot to Fable, Final fantasy, Diablo 1 & 2 osts.

Right now pretty much the only new rap I can tolerate is La Coka Nostra.

DJ Lethal, Danny Boy and Everlast all from House of Pain back together again, plus Ill Bill and Slaine along with an assortment of guests.
