What band from this year's PP are you now a rabid fan of?

After Forever are the goods IMO. Especially with the new album and their performance at PP. Floor is amazing, definitely in charge of things and does a great job up front.

And of course I'm partial to Firewind as well. Two excellent bands IMO.

Yes Solitude Aeturnus are spectacular. Great songs, great guitar tone, and Robert Lowe has easily as much talent and stage presence as Messiah.

Not at PP, but Solitude Aeturnus opend for Mercyful Fate on the Time tour (199?) and have been one of my favorite bands ever since.

I've posted this elsewhere, but my "new fangirl" experience for this year was After Forever...now I'm catching up on all the back catalog.

And just last night, I was listening to my "new fangirl" band from *last* year -- VISION DIVINE!

Wonder who it will be for PPIX?

Didn't go to Progpower this year but after stellar new releases i've become a HUGE fan of THRESHOLD ( and then the singer quits,lol) and of PAGANS MIND. Both 2 best albums of 2007.
