I like Iron Maiden, but I would never consider myself a fan, I might listen to 3 maybe 4 songs. They are really good songs, but I have not heard entire albums other than their Killers album. Im a Judas Priest fan, its my biggest vocal influence and I was wondering what are the best Iron maiden songs that most people dont talk about?
A lot of bands I like, get only a few of their songs played on the radio and most of the time I love everything else way more than those songs. Like Twisted Sister, I cant stand the songs on the radio anymore, once I found their album Big hits and Nasty cuts I actually became a fan, and I bought that because I thought the cover was cool looking and I did like the few songs I had heard on the radio at the time.(The Price, I wanna rock) from my artist perspective I wanted to draw the cover and some of the pictures and I figured Ill take it home, look for some cool imagery for drawing ideas and listen to some new rock. The cd blew me away, I didnt know they could be as heavy as they were, I was hooked.
When I listened to the Killers album I liked it, but not enough to go and buy more albums or listen to more songs.
I am more mature nowadays and have more of an open mind than I had when I was 15.
So what bands do you listen to that you didnt become an actual fan until you bought an album?
What songs got you interested in the band?
How do you feel about the radio not playing that many songs of so many bands?
Most importantly, what Iron Maiden songs and albums are their best? Because I want to listen to them more and dont know where to start.
