OP, WTF is up with your "death metal" band? It's gotta be some kind of joke. When I clicked the link to the myspace page, it was just some retard grunting, and no guitars, drums, bass, etc. Thanks for wasting three minutes of my time.
Because i haven't added music to it, it's just me doing vocals though I do have a band going to add music to it, no it's not a joke, I take it very seriously. And if you don't like my vocals so be it, I'm not going to get pissy about it,Life Sucks said:

Because I can, and also no one else in my area plays extreme metal so I'm just going doing this alone though a band is going to do background music for me. So no one likes my vocals? I like mine on my Shadow People song, granted they don't sound like a sink draining or Corpsegrinder, but I'm always looking for ways to improve, I've only been death growling for a couple months anyways.Spectacular Views said:

Ah ok. Because death metal is all about the guitars, death metal vocals alone sound stupid. The vocals aren't bad. They would sound ok with music. But death metal vocals with no music sound ridiculous, even if you sounded like David Vincent or Frank Mullen or something. I thought I was gonna hear some real death metal, and not just an attempt at death metal vocals with no instrumentation whatsoever.bluewizard said:

You do realize that death metal vocals by themselves is even more absurd than rap with no vocals?
Yeah, I could do tremolo-Darkthronesque picking now. In other words simple as hell.

Yeah. It's easy to tremolo pick random notes and power chords. But it is very hard to play very well. It takes years of playing all the time to be able to play as fast and clean as Karl Sanders or something.

As someone who is not very musical, it is not terribly difficult to play some power chord stuff. If you want to have technical parts though you have to practice a lot.
I practice for about an hour a day. I'm going to be finished with my Rock Guitar for Dummies book in 3-4 chapters and I've been playing 3 months, what should I try to play after I get finished with my book?
