What do you guys know about 'Hybrid' Loudspeakers?

These are supposed to be pretty expensive. Would these work as awesome monitors?

Is hybrid just their special way of saying they use a conventional woofer and electrostatic for the mids and highs? My experiences w/ electrostatics have been nice but they are pretty tempermental. I've also never seen them in a studio.

You can get similar monitors with a driver and a ribbon handling the highs. No experience with them though.
