what do you think happens when you die?

I would not think too much about it, enjoy life while you can I suppose... unfortunatley everyday stess sometimes ruins that. I can't wait until I'm out of college and go traveling for awhile, I think that will really help me to experience "living".

Thats kind of why I love Vintersorg music, its sounds born out of that awesome Scandinavian environment where alot of natural life seems unspoiled, and one can make observations about nature and reality. It seems to be the complete opposite of where I am in Houston, Texas... which is a smog ridden city with flat landscape in and around it. Uninspiring place to say the least.

When you dies your brain, which is your mind, stops working. For you there will only be a nothing after death as the organ which is you is broken. That's the sad part.

Then we have the nice part, where your body decomposes and goes back into nature's cycle. So your molecules will eventually be a tree or a bird or something. :)

Well, we all get to find out, I guess, for good or ill... it's dying that we should be afraid of, but being dead would probably get boring really fast.
When I die I hope my spirit can hang around for a while afterwards so I can see how people react to my passing. And plus, I'd have to travel to all the places I never had a chance to see in life. Maybe I could come back as a ghost and tell those who miss me not to worry, I'm okay.
But yeah, it's probably best not to dwell on such things.

I agree with the second Half of this ... but I cant believe that the essence of who you are disapears, if it did what is the point of living and learning? .. there has to be something... Not to say that its Heaven or hell, Neither Exist IMO ... I just refuse to believe I will cease to exsist hahahaha

I agree totally with you. I can't just let that be... there has to be something else.

Damnit I don't want to think about it, I know nothing will be remembered after all that have known you die so it's really fucking depressing to think about.

Your energy (or spirit) leaves your body. The body is just a shell which will rot away and become part of the earth that we were all a part of. After your spirit leaves your body you will become aquainted with those other energies that have passed before you and face some sort of judgement concerning your deeds on earth. I would hope I could become partially 'omnipotent' and like someone else said, i would like to travel and find out all the stuff we always just wonder about.

I hope i'm partially correct - if nothing exist after we die what is the point of living in the first place? A lot of people view death as something horrible, I think it can and will be a beautful thing.
