What does A.Y.P.S. mean?

I might have asked this before, not sure. I am sure I have never received an answer, though. WHAT does A.Y.P.S, as used by Burzum and plenty of other anti-Christian or NS bands after Christian dates (i.e. "recorded in 1996 a.y.p.s.") stand for? Please do tell.

Okay, so this turned out to be a fairly useless thread, because some guesswork (I figured out that "A" could very well be "anno") and Googling yielded the answer: "anno yersinia pestis spiritus", or roughly something like "years after the spiritual pestilence." Clever. Now that I know what it means, I can start using it. Maybe this helps others who wondered the same thing so the thread won't be so useless, I dunno.
