What does "..." or "." mean?

I guess I don't know the ways of this forum yet, but what does ... or . mean when someone quotes me and then just puts a . or ...?

when you quote somebody, you can't just have the quote, so people often put in the "." as a ditto or something.

One dot usually means they're just putting in text so they can use the quote.
Three dots usually means that they are speechless because you probably posted something really fucking stupid.

. means "I agree/WERD NIGGAH/hear hear"
... means "what...the fuck...?..."
