What fuckin gives???

getting promos killed any desire I had for writing reviews, what with 99% being utter shit. who gives a fuck if you're the first zine to write a review about a new album....

I usually try to find zines that write reviews about older (late 80's-90's) albums, since backlogging is more fun (and better music) than the rehashed shit of today.

This website has joined the choir invisible. I'd of course like to see more regular updates, but out of the innumerable metal albums pumped out every year, less than one percent deserve to be analyzed in detail. Or to get straight to the point...

My goat. If I had sigs turned on, I would just sig all that. And then I'd add an image of Kelly Hu with her paps hanging out just to perfect it.

Stick around man, very cool reviews in the pipeline (and interviews when that bit is done), but just don't hold your breath if you expect daily updates and label whoring promo support with reviews written by people that might have heard the CD once just because it was so shit and they had a quota to fill or deadline to meet. Fuck that with a capital F.

It's a once in a while thing because we have other shit going on too, but when they publish, they're worth the wait IMO. That Queensryche review knocked my socks off.

hahahah ... i should have already told some of them that.
one fucker I did a site for years ago ... he was selling some bullshit t-shirts ... they sucked ass ... and the guy had no money to market ... prime candidate for that line.

yeah, I'm liking the older reviews RC does. I read all of them. TO be honest, I usually ignore the reviews of new albums unless I know something about the band beforehand, but this goes for all zines.

THis is why I miss LARM. The entire site was nothing but 80s/90s metal reviews. Can't count how many bands I checked out because of that site, but Arcane Sun was one of them. Sonic Death is another good 'un. Field of the Dark Seed is good, but needs more reviews. Surprisingly, I've been going to see what Chedsey says as well on SSMT.

I might sound old, haha, but most of the metal I like is from the 90's, so.......
