JVM, 5150 III and the Mesa Mark series tend to be pretty cool amps for the genre.

sounds great, good to hear you're getting some distance between you and the over-EQing guitars again, sounds much better this way!

Thanks Lasse! It's been easier doing the reamping myself, as I can capture the tone in a way I'd want it to sound in the mix. Helps that the JVM is a sweet-arse amp. In case anyone cares for some pr0n from the session:

Yeah, much better to have the possibility to move around mics to your liking etc.

yeah the valvestate is more into old school death metal imho, try to boost it or put a sonic maximizer in the loop or something like
that (that's the way chuck did it in the end afaik) and use some high-output pickups, that helps alot.
