I read parts of that thread in the Opeth forum. Well. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion. And the whole MP3 issue is also something open to debate. But in my opinion, there were a few borders crossed. The criticism voiced in that thread was way too personal and offensive. And these things are nothing to do with general issues like tastes in music or views on downloading MP3s. Here, a single individual was attacked. Even if Mr V was such a diva and over-the-top rockstar as he is accused of being...so what? No-one is harmed by that. That would be just another character trait. Attacking and ridiculing that means you're absolutely intolerant and treat others like you WOULDN'T want yourself to be treated. Very hypocritical and double-standard. The freedom such people demand for themselves ("accept me, accept my criticism, accept my being different, accept my rudeness"), they're quite oddly enough not willing to grant others. Additionally, their allegedly justified criticism of other people's personalities comes wrapped in partially foul language. And this is yet another unacceptable point.
