What is with celebrities pretending to be metal?

I think it's "rock star chic". Justin Timberlake had a model wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt in one of his videos, the Spice Girls used to wear Motorhead shirts on stage, etc. Most of the older metal bands are "classic rock" these days, and everyone knows it's cool to be seen wearing a "classic rock" band shirt. Hilary Duff is an ignorant child, but I'm sure there's an array of other singers who are actually into metal to an extent even if they don't perform it.

Now that I think about it I actually remember there being something on Channel V ages ago with Holly Valance, I think it was like a behind the scenes thing on that clip she did wearing the Misfits shirt, and they asked her something about the band and she had no idea.

I'm sure there are many folks out there that do like metal, but I am referring to the ones that clearly don't, like Holly Valance and Hillary Duff.

I was waiting in hope that Rove would ask her a question about Motorhead...but then realised that rove isn't that cool anymore...if she was being interviewed by Curly, the puppet he used to voice on thecomedychannel he would have drilled her about it...and then said that she sucks dogs balls*.

*Once on the episode about me on "it's the short and curly show" (yes, they did an episode about me) Curly (rove) yelled out something about Celine Dion...and then said "She sucks! She sucks dogs balls!"

It was awesome.

OK Hilary may not actually listen to Motorhead....but you all are generalising by complaining about "stars" wearing hard rock/metal shirts. Many a person who performs "pop" music actually really likes metal etc. We actually had one here on our board.
People on this board complain about being generalised or put in a box by society but when they do the same it is perfectly OK.
So far you have only agreed 2 of these stars may be putting on what their stylist tells them.
As far as one of the Olsen twins doing so in a "movie" for gods' sake it was a character in the movie not the bloody actress.

Can you get that show from TCC? It sounds like an awesome show, I'd definitely wanna watch it... especially since you're on it.

Does the comedy channel sell videos or DVDs of shows from that far back?

I want to get a faded pink shirt, and get a picture of Britney Spears put onto it with "I *heart* BRITNEY" underneath.

I also want to get a faded pink shirt, get a picture of my old homeroom teacher's face put onto it with "I'm Fashionable!" underneath.
