I agree! It seems to usually work really well. Eg: New Found Glory - Kiss Me.

Indeed! I went to a pop-punk show back in December in which a local band, We Were Sharks, covered Katy Perry - Teenage Dream. It was pretty slammin'.

Also Four Year Strong's cover album "Explains it All" is pretty awesome.
