Great taste Stefan.
"Human" is my fav Death record and my fave line-up. This opening with the double bass and tom rolls is excellent and somewhat unique.

Thanks. I find it quite superior since it often mixes that zombie-br00tality of old Death with the later, progressive sense. And yeah, there isn't an opening quite like it. Especially since it flows perfectly even when the guitars fade in.

I tried to think a bit about my favorites among opening/ closing tracks and found out a funny thing for myself. I always thought every band tries to place its best (in their opinion) song first… and everyone wants a strong ending that could have stuck in listeners memory… it was like a basic thing. But as for me, practically all my favorite songs (I mean every band I like) are found somewhere in the middle… often second or third… but rarely “the first and the last”.
