nah, the rap metal's been done, it's no longer original. It would come across as a desperate effort to recapture old glory.
I've posted this in a similar thread before, but I'd love to hear them do a cover of either ZZ Top's La Grange, or Van Halen's Ice Cream Man. I think John's vocals and making the guitar extra heavy would be absolutely killer on these tracks.
Ultimately though, covers are a chance for a band to pay tribute to acts that influenced them, or share stuff that they like, so it's up to them, not us.

I'm not sure if John's voice would suit Immigrant Song, but they could definately do a great version of Smoke on the Water.

Phantom Lord is kinda raspy. I think the thing I dig most about the cover is that Anthrax is actually doing it. Not just some cheesy death metal band with cookie monster vox. The best covers they've done, I think, are Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, London and Remember Tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong, I love hearing anything Anthrax does, and John's vocals were good on Phantom Lord. The guitars were really disappointing, though, not even coming close to Kirk's original solo.
I agree with you, EZEric, I'd love to hear old Joey tunes redone in the studio with John on vocals, especially ATL tunes like Caught in a Mosh.

Anything by ZZ Top would be cool. La Grange is a good choice.
