What's the best Theory in Practice album?

best album IMO is the latest one...
colonizing the sun. one of the most technical albums i know...
maybe they sound little similar like death but if you ask me, their sound does`t have many similarities with cynic nile or atheist..
maybe something same with atheist...
that band is way too unknown..so tight and technical stuff.
i love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but get every album if you can!!!!!!!!!

I love Colonizing the Sun. Third Eye Function is great too, though. I think they're better, imo, than Nile and more enjoyable than Atheist. Death still reigns atop that group for me, though.

Theory in Practice are definitely worth checking out. Look into Extol, too.

I would have personally gone with The Armageddon Theories... It's my favourite, and it's the best one as far as i'm concered. Technical as fuck

As far as sounding like Cynic, Nile and Atheist... Simply put, they don't.

What was with putting nile in their anyway? I couldn't think of anything further from Cynic and Atheist, let along Theory in Practice...

There's a few Atheist-ism's here and there in the music, but overall it has less of a jazz feel to it than atheist, and more of an extreme metal feel to it. The production is alot sharper than atheist on the later albums too, i beleive some of them were remixed at some point, so i'm not sure which version I've got, nor which version you are thinking of getting... One sounds bad, One sounds decent.

They use some of the same structural devices that Cynic use, but their style of playing and writing isn't at all similar, and quite frankly, they sound nothing like Nile at all...
