2.0 is discontinued.. any retailer still advertising it probably has 3.0 but hasn't updated their webpage.
Upgrades from 2.0 to 3.0:
- all new upgraded snares
- new snares, kicks
- new paiste cymbal pack.. (hi hat 3 sounds killer in metal)
- new NRG ROOM sounds (this is huge, and adds a whole new sound dimension)
- new included player for VST, RTAS, AU
for metal kicks, don't forget that kick5,15,panty, and metallica are not the only ones.. you can slap an eq on 1A, 4, Chili Kick, Dream Kick... and also combine kicks to create new sounds.
I'll have a mix coming soon where I discuss tweaking cymbals for good metal tones.. The only bad comments on the cymbals have come from a few people on this forum.. Most people are diggin them way more then cymbals found on a lot of other collections since we have some nice tape sat on them... Hi Hat 2 and 3 are sick for metal.. you'll hear it soon.
BTW.. LE is now $149 and has some great stuff in it..
As for resale... If everyone bought the software, loaded them on their machine, then sold them.. there would be no more sample library companies. If you can't decide based on the hundreds of demos that we offer and the thousands of demos on the web and at your local record store.. then I dunno...
We are considering breaking up the Virtual Instrument side and the Wav/Gog Replacement side. What you guys think?
BTW in a recent poll we took, most of the people who purchased our software since February are using it as a full virtual instrument.. drum replacement is in the minority now for 3.0..
