What's the last CD you listened to?

Good. Finally someone get's the idea.

I totally forgot how much this album rules. Everytime I hear Naturens Galleri I try to sing along, fail horribly because I dont speak SWEDISH, and end up doing some retarded humming, half singing thing. The rainbow demon cover also kicks much ass.

I have been listening to Wotan - Carmina Barbarica all fucking day. Must have listened to it about 5 times so far. Godamn, I love this fucking album. "Thermopiles" literally sends shivers through my body. GODAMMMNNNN! One of the GREATEST songs ever written about one of the GREATEST stories in History.

I've owned it for about a year now and always loved it but more recently, it has totally enveloped me.

Hm i don't like it as much as you, i prefer a demo they released some years ago, loved its sound more than the album's, and all their songs were ace, while in the album there are some in the "not as good as the others" category.

Are you refering to "Thunderstorm"?

Seriously, Carmina Barbarica is amazing. You can't top songs like "Ride of Templars", "The Cave", "Hussard De Le Mort"...and that fucking solo in Thermopiles. o-m-g!!!!!!! I cannot say enough about that song. The supreme definition of EPIC.

Sky without stars
In the house of Hades
Nevermore sun
In the realm of shadows
I know my future
I know my doom

I'M NOT AFRAID, I'M NOT AFRAID

Doom is written
In their number now
River of bronze
Flowing down the horizon
That is my future
That is my doom

I'M NOT AFRAID, I'M NOT AFRAID

[Narration: The oracle of Delphi from "The Histories" of Herodotus]

Oh Ares! Bitter God of war
Fatal to the men, here I swear
THEY WILL NEVER SEE OUR BACKS

Oh Zeus! A last look to the sun
Not yet hidden by the darts, no doubt for the choose
WE'LL BE LIKE OAKS IN THE STORM

And when the smoke of our pyres
Burning on the battlefield
Reaching the sky
Then you will know
Which was our doom

WE WERE NOT AFRAID, WE WERE NOT AFRAID

The rivers of Babylon flow, and fall, and carry
away... Jesus is alone on earth, not merely with no
one to feel and share His agony, but with no one
even to know of it. Heaven and He are the only ones
to know.

Jesus is in a garden, not of delight, like the first
Adam, who there fell and took with him all
mankind, but of agony, where He has saved
Himself and all mankind

He suffers this anguish and abandonment in the
horror of the night

Jesus will be in agony until the end of the world.
There must be no resting in the meantime...
