probably 80% or above. i have lots and lots of albums that i only listen to once or twice every few years. plus albums i listen to constantly are in CD wallets so there you go.

I have (ballpark) 2,300 CDs (not all metal); of these, probably at least 50% are quite dusty. I listen to my metal & classic rock more than anything else, and then whenever I'm in a hip-hop mood. But I think 50% is probably a pretty safe estimate.

hahaha what another stupid genre name, classic rock. i mean you can lump together The Who, Pink Floyd, and Bob Seger into that title.

very true. i call everything "rock and god damn roll" anyhow. Robert Johnson to Deathspell Omega. rock and god damn roll.

Led Zeppelin = guy with a hay thingy music
Slayer = pitchforks in ye bum rock
Opeth = prog wank butterfly logo
etc.

#1 solution to describing bands without calling them melodic folk black evil grim troo vikings with mittens but not kult but thrash blah blah blah in your ass metal...

Two words...

"Sounds like..."
"Elements of..."
"Akin to..."

Back to topic because im slow,
100% of mine, i rip them straight onto my comp like previously mentioned that is my stereo. If i wish to listen to the cd i burn it so i dont fuck to original. The only time they occasionaly go out is when i do my radio show and i need song titles.

I will accept:

Black Metal
Death Metal
Doom Metal
Power Metal
Thrash Metal
Viking Metal (because it's my list, and I fucking say so)

That's it. Nothing else.

I agree with that but i would accept Heavy metal, but that goes without saying.
Power metal gets in there but with my loathing added to it, can't stand power metal :yuk:
