I was just surfing the scythes of bodom site and I noticed the info that '' COB did almost split up in 1999 due to unknown reasons ''

We really don't want to spread new fucking rumors about our favourite band but I read that in an Impaled Nazarene interview. The Interview can be read here.

Here is a part from the interview:

"And concerning those guitar solos, how was it to work with Alexi?

Extremely easy. I knew what kind of guitar solos I wanted, so I said in the studio, I want you to play blablabla’, and he played it immediately! So, thank you Alexi!

But how come he’s not with you on this tour? He had told me he would!

He was supposed to be with us, but don’t ask! Children Of Bodom have had some problems you know. They almost split up, but it didn’t happen, though it was very close. We had to find someone else, and our session guitar player is from Thy Serpent. Two days before the tour, Alexi showed him the solos, and he followed! He’s a great guitar player too."


Anyway, if Janne or Henkka can confirm that it wasn't true then we are sorry for writing this and we will remove this as soon as possible.

I like Impaled but I think Mika Luttinen had some problems with Alexi, or something. BTW, I do not agree with some of the band (impnaz) thoughs..... (Zero Tolerance, Total War, etc etc....). But the music rulez!

I read an interview with Mika, and he said Alexi is an asshole. Alexi wanted to compose a song for the last Impaled, but he came up with it one day before they went to the studio. So Mika said:" Fuck You, Alexi. You're to late!"

Hmm,Nicholas is the type of guy who would easily kick someones ass.Especially Dani's

hehe, i've heard that rumour, too. Well, i can't say whether it's true or not, but i can't stop to imagine how funny this must have looked like. A little skinny dani filth vs. a fat and brawny Nicholas Baker.

However, at least for me, it's fact that cradle started to suck after nicholas left them

I have to apologize! Mika didn't say asshole! I searched in my magazines and I found the issue!

In german:

In english:

"Alexi Laiho wanted to compose a song for us, but the king ("hochwürden" means something like king, it is an salutation for an upper person, T.) prefer (he speaks in the plural, T.) to not present it to us. He came until the day before we went to the studio and said that we could hear the song. We decided to trust in our own songs"

The german text is also translated from english or something but I think it is not quoted out of the context.
