A few years ago Friday nights were playing a gig, 10pm slot of rawkin' faces and partying until 2am, hoping my wife wouldn't mind driving us home, and then grumpily unloading gear mumbling "am I getting too old for this shit?" only to do it all again the next week.

These days? Drunk by 6pm and asleep by 9pm. Netflix. Whatever.

...

I really need to join a band again.

Only thing I miss about the Pre-Covid world is the occasional gig.

Used to hit up a bunch of restaurants ala Yardhouse on a Friday to get my rocks off. Such a waste of money compared to just chilling at home and playing some class tunes. Dont mind the occasional bar, but homebodying is law.

We have an Amstrad CPC 464 in storage somewhere at my mother's house. As long as she hasn't thrown it out that is. This was my only experience of video games up until the age of probably 8 or 9 when I got a SNES. I might bring it back with me next time I visit and hook it up in my new house.

awesome

but don't be surprised if a lot of the games you remember fondly are terrible when played thirty years later. lots of early home computer software has not aged gracefully.

and also if you ever want to get rid of it lmk. i love old computers and need it for my collection.

I burned more time on Pyjamarama (on CPC 6128) as a 9-year old than on any game post-8bit consoles. By far. A few weeks ago I watched a playthrough on YouTube and couldn't even recognize the game...

But yeah I would fully expect them to be awful. I mainly remember these games being really hard.
they made them really hard to make them last longer and disguise the fact that there's not much there because they were made by a teenager in three weeks for 50 quid

Pre-pandemic: Go grocery shopping after work, go home and clean house while drunk and jamming, maybe pass out while watching a movie later.

There's no routine now. It's just whatever.

Day already laid out.

Gym
Sushi/Poke or something nutritious to make up for that dbl chili cheeseburger I had last night
Watch either a movie/baseball game/Bellator

May or may not participate in Coitus. Fall asleep, rinse, repeat.

Ive got the kids so we are chillin. Im tired from work this week. Browsing the Season of Mist site because they have a discount contest going on and they have some I, Voidhanger stuff I want.

Atypical Friday night tonight. Went downtown and got sloshed with my buddy. Gave him a Lemmy face mask (Covid mask) complete with cigarette and moles.

And one of these. It had been a running joke for a while so I went ahead and made it a reality for him. Twas a good night.
