Whee, the UM server eats posts now

I agree that while the problems with the server were briefly remedied, the problem is back tenfold and once again, half the time I try to connect I get the same old "cannot find server" error message.

My immediate solution to counter the frustrating "post eating" problem is to select the entire body of your typed post and hit "Edit" "Copy" prior to hitting "Submit". This will allow you to re-paste the message back into a reply without worrying about typing it all over again (especially good for those ultra-long posts).

I came up with that solution after having that exact same problem on numerous occasions. It is so frustrating to spend 20 minutes typing a post only to hit submit and have the post eaten by the ol' "cannot find server" error message.

That picture is cruel!

Though you wouldn't believe the pain I had posting my Judas Priest rant >_<

This is all I can think of when I read the topic of this thread.

Now we're back to normal fucked-upped-ness.

Seriously, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY do it do what it do? I've been an intarweb g33k for like 10 years, and I have never seen a website behave so utterly craptastic. Even the old Roadrunner message boards in the mid-90s were better than this crap, that was like the Atari of internet forums (well, maybe NES)!

$10 on the following scenario:

Deron: Hi guys, the problem is soon going to be fixed, I'm just going to tweak the Vbulletin code a bit, everything will be back to normal soon.

"Some" RC regulars: Wow, thanks Deron, you're a really cool guy!

Hehe... i *think* I foundthe offending issue and it actually wasn't the forum this time (if it maintains. Was a band's site using some whacked out countdown timer script. Let me know if it runs fine for you from here on today. (and it looks like the page was made/posted 3 days ago, same when ti started running crappy again).
